Yogyakarta on Sunday March 26th, 2017. The workshop is taking part in the development strategy in Bumijo focused on moving the youth organizations in each Citizens Association. HRC expressed the importance of planning and best practice. HRC also insisted that the right data will facilitate the process of planning ahead so that problems can be solved in the long term.
During the past month, HRC has been mentoring Bumijo Village to profile existing and potential spatial problems in the region. At the workshop HRC presented the latest progress in the mentoring process so that it could be understood by youth organizations who attended the event, and data that is still missing can be collected.
Elanto Wijoyono of Combine Resource Institutions (CRI) conveyed the importance of the Village Information System. The Village Information System is based on people’s habits, making it easier to provide information on an ongoing basis. The role of rural communities, the media, and village government is the key for this information system to be delivered and managed properly. In the future, HRC will expand its network of rural/urban planning, to create a better life for communities in Indonesia in a sustainable manner.
